Goddard Centre
Sets a classy but casual tone in the inner city, as downtown Tauranga’s most up-market shopping mall with women's fashion stores such as Glassons (biggest), Kooky, and Moochi. Gift shops include the big Cabbages and Kings, and Flicker Candle Emporium. Teens and 20-somethings will go for EB Games. The centre, which links two of the city’s main shopping streets, Devonport Road and Grey Street, was completely redeveloped in 2004 at a cost of $6 million, into two-levels of fashion, and entertainment. Goddard’s has its own licensed, three-screen Rialto cinema with 205 comfortable armchair-style seats and built-in tables. Enjoy a wine, beer or coffee with your movie.
