We're now well in to 2011 and the weather is cooling! Long Summer days are fading fast, no thanks to Daylight Saving this Sunday! At least we have the Easter break to look forward too.
The past month saw Tsumanis in Japan, and the earthquakes in Chiristchurch. It has been a test of the New Zealand spirit. Events like these really make you grateful for what you have.
Make a pledge to those less fortunate
Most of us have been lucky. We still have our lives, we still have our homes. For thousands of Cantabrians who have been displaced, its an unsettling time. Especially for the little ones. We encourage everyone to help out their fellow kiwis where they can. The New Zealand Red Cross is doing some great work and if you have a little spare, why not make a donation. Easter? Yes only a few weeks away! Mount Mainstreet is running the festival and it will be a great family day out. Loads of activities to keep the kids busy while the adults sit back and enjoy the bands on the streets. Street performers, buskers, kids activities, candy floss, castles and slides and more.
