Right in the middle of the Mount, Latitude is a restaurant and bar combination — big, popular and stylishly decorated, complete with a map of the local coastline (see where latitude 37 lies). Stone fireplaces, large TV screen and band area. Outside seating on the footpath out front, and patio at the rear.
Mains priced from $21 include fresh local seafood – paella, mussels, and Angus stakes (Latitude is a three-time winner of the Beef and Lamb Awards) Light meals and bar snacks are also available. Latitude is fully licensed with a huge wine list, many available by the glass, and beers on tap include Heineken and Monteiths. Open 7 days, Mondays 4pm to close, Tuesday to Sunday, 12 pm onwards.
