This award-winning winery and restaurant occupies a striking art deco building set in an elegant garden. The 150-seat a la carte restaurant is known for light meals and is described as ‘Pacific-rim-antipodean-style,’ featuring the best of local produce.
Mains range from around $24 to around $30, and there is a good choice of gluten-free dishes. The menu recommends a good Mills Reef wine to match each dish. Mills Reef has won barrels-full of medals, including gold for its acclaimed Mills Reef Elspeth Merlot. It’s one of finest food-wine-music-venues around, and located minutes from Tauranga in Moffat Road, Bethlehem. Licensed of course, and open daily 9am—5pm (The tasting room opens daily 10am—5pm.)
