About Tauranga

It's not hard to see why so many make the move to Tauranga. Water surrounds most areas, be it the inner harbour and waterways, or the white sandy beaches that stretch for miles. You are never more than 5 minutes drive from the water, or 10 minutes from the beach. So whether you are into water activities, enjoy a stroll along the beach, or love the fresh sea-breeze, this is the place.

The Tauranga has all the conveniences you'd expect from a medium sized town. Malls and movies, to boutique shopping and more cafes than you can shake a stick at. Tauranga's main street boasts a high number of restaurants, right along side the harbour. Nearby Mount Maunganui is palm-lined, and is located on a peninsula with the harbour on one side and surf beach on the other. Sunshine also happens to be a big problem for Tauranga, constantly hanging around and depriving other cities! You can see more on our weather page.
