The Tudor-style lodge has real hideaway appeal, set amid 40 acres of secluded gardens, rocky creeks and subtropical plantations. Not surprisingly, Fantail has had some famous guests over the years.
Award-winning owner / chef Harrie Geraerts is well known for his pork, duck and other game dishes. Well-priced degustation menus (including wine and live music) are offered on the last Saturday of every month, from April to October.
Ten new villas are under construction as a separate village, on a separate site from the main lodge.
