If it’s an authentic Turkish style doner kebab you hanker for... Owner Erol Gurleyen is a pioneer of Turkish eateries in Wellington, who lucky for us, moved to Tauranga. His kebabs are made with chicken, lamb, both combined, fish, or vegetarian (falafel) ingredients.
They are a mini-meal with impressively fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked, all wrapped in light Turkish flat bread, made fresh on the premises. A range of burgers come with similar fillings, in a ‘regular’ or ‘Turkish’ option – made with Turkish bread instead of a bun. Turkish pizza is also on the menu. At Abra, you can get a reasonably price of glass of wine or an Efes Turkish lager beer.
