Facial Surgery for Papamoa Beer Bottle Victim
Police are appealing to anyone who has any information on the incident in Domain Road Papamoa, which saw a full beer bottle thrown at a 65 year old woman out walking. Detective senior sergeant Greg Turner said they believe four people were in the car involved in the incident, and any information, no matter how small could be vital to their inquiry. New Operating Theatre for Hospital
A new one million dollar state of the art operating theatre at Tauranga Hospital will improve access to elective surgery and reduce times people have to wait for acute orthopaedic surgery, according to orthopaedic surgeon, Andy Stokes. International Visits Increase
More international tourists are visiting the Bay, but less domestic. Statistics New Zealand showed February guest nights were up 14% by international visitors, which means significant financial rewards, as they spend twice as much on average, as domestic tourists.

 

Quakes Rattle East Coast
Several earthquakes have been felt on the East Coast since yesterday morning. The GeoNet website shows the quakes were ranging from 3.9 to 4.5 on the Richter scale, with five quakes in the same area between 10.29am yesterday and 2.48am today.
